Its raw materials come from recycled old PC barrels, waste CDs or waste medical bottles, motorcycle accessories, etc. its sanitary performance is the most worrying, threatening people's health

According to experts, this situation has attracted international capital to accelerate investment in polycarbonate in China. At present, three international multinational companies, Bayer of the United States, Teijin of Japan and general motors of the United States, are investing in polycarbonate projects in China. Bayer's phase I investment of US $1.8 billion in Shanghai Caojing Chemical Industry Park, including the 200000 t/a polycarbonate and the supporting 200000 t/a bisphenol a project, will be completed in 2005. Teijin company of Japan began to produce polycarbonate resin in Zhejiang Province in April, 2005. At present, they are produced and sold according to enterprise standards. Its product standards basically cite the national standards for the hygienic performance of plastic molded products such as PC, pet and PVC, such as GB14942-1994 hygienic standard for polycarbonate molded products for food containers and packaging materials, gb13113 hygienic standard for polyethylene terephthalate molded products for food containers and packaging materials, and gb9681-1988 hygienic standard for PVC molded products for food containers and packaging materials. Due to the characteristics of light weight and large volume of drinking water barrels, there are no particularly good recycling measures for damaged and obsolete PC barrels at present, but some places have crushed the recycled barrels and processed them into products for other purposes, such as canopy, sunlight board, etc. As the consumption of plastic drinking buckets is on the rise, the recycling, transportation and disposal of plastic drinking buckets after elimination are worth studying and solving by relevant departments. At the same time, corresponding laws and regulations should be considered in accordance with the relevant provisions of the food hygiene law to limit the use of recycled materials in food packaging containers
